Life at TS Mercury

Boys led a full life at Mercury and little time was allocated as ‘free’. These pictures show some of the activities boys were involved in over the years. Some were part of the curriculum. Others were strictly clandestine activities to be engaged in when they were afforded some free time and could dodge the watchful eye of staff. Swimming in Badnam Creek (out of bounds), swinging on ‘Mr X’ and even, for some daring boys, illicit trips down the local pub were just some things they got up to.
